Why Shredding Matters for Identity Protection

Identity theft often begins with access to personal information. Documents thrown away without destruction can be retrieved and used for fraud. Secure shredding reduces the risk of identity theft by permanently destroying sensitive information. BBB experts will also be on-site to share tips and best practices for protecting your identity. Identity protection requires both secure disposal practices and ongoing awareness.

Supporting the Community

While the event is free, attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food donations. The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank will be on-site collecting items to support local families in need. Community shred events support both data security and local charitable initiatives.
